Would it be weird to share a birthday wishlist?

My birthday is coming up soon, and I'm thinking about sharing a small wishlist with my community.
I feel a bit awkward asking for gifts, even though some people might genuinely want to help or celebrate. Would it be okay to post a wishlist in my Discord or community page, or does that come across as strange?
