How do I safely transport fragile items?
I’m getting ready for a move next month, and honestly I’m more stressed about my fragile stuff than the furniture. Last time I moved, one of my glass lamps and a couple of ceramic bowls didn’t survive the trip, even though I thought I packed them well. This time I have framed photos, some wine glasses, and a small mirror that belonged to my grandma, so I really don’t want to mess it up again. Do you guys have any practical tips on how to safely transport fragile items without overcomplicating everything? Is it more about materials, packing technique, or just hiring the right help?

Oh, I’ve been there. When I moved last year, I realized it’s mostly about preparation and not rushing. They suggest planning ahead and getting a proper moving estimate before anything else, so you can figure out your budget and understand what level of service you actually need Allmovers. That helped me decide whether to handle fragile packing myself or let movers do it. From my experience, double boxing works great for really delicate things. Wrap each item individually (bubble wrap or even towels), fill empty spaces so nothing shifts, and clearly label the boxes. Also, don’t overload them. Heavy plus fragile is a bad combo. Taking photos before sealing the box also gave me peace of mind.
