Are structured sensitivity tests becoming part of modern FPS aim training?

Hello everyone,

Recently, I’ve noticed more FPS players moving away from simply copying pro settings and starting to test mouse sensitivity in a more structured way. This seems especially common in games like CS2, Valorant, Apex, and other tactical or tracking-heavy shooters.

One approach I came across is using a PSA-style sensitivity workflow, where players compare lower and higher values across several rounds instead of guessing one number at a time. Tools such as PSA Method Calculator make this process easier by turning the test into a simple browser-based routine.

I’m curious how others see this trend:

Do you think structured sensitivity testing can actually help players improve consistency, or is aim still mostly about practice volume?

For players who switch between games, mice, mousepads, or DPI settings, is a repeatable calibration method useful enough to become part of a normal setup routine?

What are the biggest challenges when testing sensitivity: choosing the right drill, judging “feel” too quickly, or changing settings too often?

Could simple browser tools become more common in FPS training, alongside aim trainers and stat trackers?

I’d be interested to hear from players, coaches, or anyone who has spent time tuning sensitivity seriously. Do you prefer using a method like PSA, or do you still adjust mainly by instinct?

Looking forward to hearing everyone’s experience and opinions.
