Will Cloud Gaming Ever Replace Traditional Consoles?
Hey everyone, I’ve been trying out cloud gaming lately (Google Stadia, Nvidia GeForce Now, etc.), and honestly, I’m really impressed with the potential. The idea of being able to play high-end games on my old laptop or phone is crazy. Do you think cloud gaming will eventually replace traditional consoles like PlayStation and Xbox, or is it still just a “nice to have” for casual gamers?

Yeah, the convenience of not needing a console at all sounds nice. But I think we’ll still need physical hardware for a while, even if cloud gaming becomes more mainstream. The fact that cloud gaming still relies heavily on servers means that when the service goes down, you’re pretty much out of luck. Plus, there’s also the issue of data caps—if you’re playing a lot of games in the cloud, it can chew through your data pretty quickly.
