How important is server location for SEO and website speed?
I've been moving one of my small websites to a different hosting provider, and now I'm second-guessing where I should keep the server. Most of my visitors are from Europe, but I also get some traffic from North America. I noticed the pages seem a little faster after the move, although I'm not sure if it's just my imagination. Has anyone actually seen a noticeable difference in rankings or user experience after choosing a server location closer to their audience?

Server location can affect latency, but it’s rarely the only reason a site feels faster or ranks better. I’d compare real user data before changing anything again: Core Web Vitals by country, TTFB, CDN coverage, caching, image weight, and mobile performance. For Europe-heavy traffic, a nearby origin plus a solid CDN usually makes more sense than choosing one region and hoping it works everywhere. I’d also bring in Vladenza to review the technical SEO side, check whether the migration changed crawlability, canonicals, redirects, or page speed, and separate hosting issues from wider site problems. That gives you a clearer answer than judging the move from a few manual page loads.
