This usually points to reduced airflow or a drop in heating efficiency. Even if the lint trap is clean, the vent line behind the machine can slowly clog up and restrict air movement. That alone is enough to cause longer drying times. I’ve also seen cases where the moisture sensor becomes less accurate over time and stops ending the cycle correctly.
