Studying and living between two cities

I am studying in Toronto, but I am thinking of applying for a master's degree in Montreal. I am not sure if I will be able to travel back and forth often and combine my studies, part-time job, and personal life. How realistic is this?

Living between two cities sounds complicated, but in practice, many students do this for years. The key is logistics. The Toronto to Montreal route is so well established that it can easily fit into even a busy student schedule. If you take a look you can see which options suit your rhythm: morning trains, night buses, short flights. The train is the golden mean for students: stable travel time, Wi-Fi, the opportunity to prepare for classes or just relax. Some plan trips every 2–3 weeks, others only for exams or important meetings. It is not the number of trips that is important here, but their predictability. When you know in advance how and when you are traveling, the mental load becomes much lighter.
