I just checked it out, and I've never used the services of a specialized team, but many of my friends say it's like adding temporary colleagues who already have experience with this process. It seems that if you define your expectations in advance and establish communication, it can save you a lot of headaches. This definitely makes sense for large projects that your core team cannot handle on its own.
